The set is machined from 8620 alloy steel and heat treated to meet or exceed OE standards. It uses the 29-spline Dana 60 pinion and a 9.75-inch ring gear. Because it is a thick-cut gear, the ring gear is designed to mount to a 4.10-ratio and numerically lower carrier without a carrier swap.

A 5.13 is a deep ratio aimed at built rigs running large tires that need maximum gear reduction for low-speed crawling and to overcome the parasitic load of oversized tires. The reverse rotation cut is what makes it correct for a Dana 60 front.

Pay attention to the thick-cut design: it lets the 5.13 run on a numerically lower (4.10-and-down) standard carrier, so verify your carrier against the 4.10/4.56 break before ordering. The set is gears only and does not include bearings, a crush sleeve, shims, a seal, a carrier, or a locker.
