This PPE P1 sun gear is machined to work with a PPE C2 billet hub in the Allison 1000 transmission behind the 2001–2016 GM 6.6L Duramax in Silverado and Sierra trucks. It is a specific piece in a heavy-duty Allison clutch upgrade.

The gear is cut to accept the C2 billet hub, which lets a builder assemble a stronger C2 clutch pack able to hold more torque than the factory setup. It is supplied on an exchange basis, so a serviceable core is expected in return.

This part is for owners building a Duramax that makes big power and needs the Allison to survive it – typically a tuned or towing-heavy truck where the stock clutch capacity is the limiting factor.
