This Revolution Gear & Axle ring and pinion set fits the Chrysler 9.25" rear axle used from 1970-2018, cut in a 3.55 ratio. The dual-drilled ring gear carries two bolt patterns so a single part number covers both earlier and later 9.25" carriers.

The gears are face-hobbed (2-cut) and lapped, the same process the OE brands use, which gives equal tooth height heel to toe for quieter running and more load capacity than face-milled gears. The pinion is 29-spline, the ring gear is 9.25", and the gears are made from heat-treated 8620 steel. There is no carrier break on this gear family.

A 3.55 ratio is a mild, tow-friendly gear for Dodge and Chrysler trucks that run near-stock to modest tire sizes and spend time on the highway or pulling a trailer. It keeps cruising RPM low while still providing solid usable torque.
