XDP Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor for Chevy/GMC (2007.5-10) 6.6L Duramax LMM (Front/Before DPF)

The XDP Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor is a front-position replacement for 2007.5-2010 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD with the 6.6L Duramax LMM.

It mounts in the front position, before the diesel particulate filter, and sends exhaust gas temperature data to the ECM for emissions management. The sensor is built to OEM specifications, installs directly in the factory location with no modifications, and cross references to 1003-1187.

When this sensor fails, the LMM can set codes, run the emissions system improperly, light up the check engine light and even drop into reduced power. That is a common story on high-mileage LMM trucks that tow or idle a lot.

This is the front, before-DPF sensor only. Use your trouble codes to confirm the failed position before ordering. Soak the old sensor with penetrating oil and remove it carefully, since heat cycles can seize it. Clear codes after the swap.
