XDP Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor for Chevy/GMC (2007.5-16) 6.6L Duramax LMM/LML (Front/Before DPF)

This XDP Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor is the front sensor for 2007.5-2016 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD with the 6.6L Duramax LMM or LML.

On 2007.5-2010 LMM trucks it sits in the front position, before the DPF. On 2011-2016 LML trucks it mounts in the turbo downpipe. Either way, it reads exhaust temperature ahead of the DPF and sends that data to the ECM. It is built to OE specifications for direct fit and replaces GM numbers 12636612 and 19418987.

If this sensor fails, expect fault codes, regens that do not complete, a check engine light and possibly reduced power. For a Duramax that tows or works daily, a stuck regen and a derate are a real problem, so this sensor is worth replacing promptly.

This is the front position sensor. Confirm the failed sensor with your trouble codes before ordering. Soak the old sensor with penetrating oil before removal, since exhaust heat can seize it in place, and clear codes after install.

With direct fit and a 2 Year / Unlimited Mileage warranty, it is a straightforward fix for the front EGT sensor on two generations of Duramax.
