PPE Engine Mount Kit (Pair) for Chevy/GMC (2001-07) 8.1L Gas

This is the PPE engine mount kit, a matched pair for Chevy/GMC 8.1L gas trucks and SUVs from 2001-2007. It replaces the soft factory mounts that let a big-block move around under load.

The kit uses 60-durometer yellow bushings – firmer than stock rubber for better engine control, but not so stiff that daily driving turns harsh. Replacing both mounts as a pair keeps support even side to side. It fits the Silverado, Sierra, Suburban, Avalanche, and Yukon equipped with the 8.1L.

Worn engine mounts show up as clunks, excess engine movement, and vague throttle response. Firmer mounts keep the engine planted during hard acceleration and towing, which sharpens throttle feel and takes slop out of the driveline – a real upgrade for anyone who works or plays with an 8.1L.

Plan on some driveline vibration transferring into the cab compared to stock rubber, which is the trade-off for firmer mounts. Confirm your 8.1L application and year before ordering. The kit carries PPE’s 1-year limited warranty.

For an 8.1L that has never had its mounts touched, this pair restores solid engine control and is a straightforward, worthwhile upgrade over collapsed originals.
