Description
This PPE engine mount kit is a matched pair of polyurethane mounts for the 2001–2007 Chevy/GMC 8.1L Gas big-block, covering Silverado, Sierra, Suburban, Avalanche, and Yukon models.
The mounts use a 40-durometer (40 hardness) blue polyurethane that is firmer than the original rubber, so it controls engine movement more tightly while staying streetable. Poly also shrugs off the oil and heat that crack and collapse factory mounts.
They are the right fix for a truck with worn mounts that clunk, shift, or let the engine rock under acceleration and towing. Firming up the mounts keeps the powertrain planted and driveline angles consistent.
The kit installs in the factory mount locations and is sold as a pair so both sides are replaced together. Covered by PPE’s 1-year limited warranty.
