PPE Engine Mount Kit (Pair, 50 Durometer Green) for Chevy/GMC (2001-07) 8.1L Vortec Gas

The PPE Engine Mount Kit is a pair of polyurethane mounts for the GM 8.1L gas trucks, 2001–2007 – Silverado, Sierra, Suburban, Avalanche and Yukon. They replace the original rubber mounts that soften and split under the torque of the big-block.

These are the 50-durometer green urethane version: firmer than the factory rubber for better engine control, but chosen to stay comfortable on a street-driven truck rather than the harsher feel of a race-only durometer. The kit is sold as a matched pair.

The 8.1L makes strong low-end torque, and that torque works the stock mounts hard – worn mounts let the engine rock, hurt driveline feel, and can eventually tear. Firmer urethane keeps the engine planted, sharpening throttle response and reducing that sloppy movement.

The mounts install in the factory 8.1L locations with no fabrication. Firmer mounts do transmit a bit more engine vibration into the chassis than soft rubber, which is a normal trade-off for the added control. Confirm your truck is an 8.1L gas application before ordering.

For an aging 8.1L with tired mounts, this pair is a durable fix that also tightens up how the truck drives.
