The Diamond T Torque Converter, Ford (1989-05) 5.0/5.4/5.8 E-Series & F-Series (E4OD/4R100) Stage 2 (Single Disk w/ Billet Cover) – FS89SV8-2 is an upgraded version of our Stage 1 converter for Ford E4OD and 4R100 applications. It shares the same core dimensions as FS89SV8-1, with a 12-3/4" diameter, 31-spline input, 1.375" pilot (1-1/4" long), milled hub flats and an 11-3/8" 4-stud bolt circle, making it a direct-fit choice for 5.0L, 5.4L and 5.8L gas E-Series and F-Series platforms from 1989-2005.

Where Stage 1 uses a single-disk lockup upgrade, Stage 2 adds a billet front cover to further increase strength, rigidity and lockup clutch holding power. The billet cover helps the converter maintain proper apply surface under load and reduces flex compared to a typical stamped steel cover, making this unit better suited for trucks and vans that see consistent towing, heavy hauling or hard daily use.
