XDP Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor for Ford (2008-10) 6.4L Power Stroke (Right Side Up-Pipe)

This XDP Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor is an OE-style replacement for the up-pipe EGT sensor on 2008-2010 Ford F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 with the 6.4L Power Stroke.

It mounts in the passenger side (right side) up-pipe. The sensor is built from metal and ceramic materials, tested for performance and reliability, and designed to original specifications for proper fit. It replaces OE numbers 8C3Z12B591E and 8C3Z12B591B, and Navistar 1888560C1.

The 6.4L leans on its EGT sensors to manage the emissions system, so a failed up-pipe sensor can set codes and cause problems with regeneration. It is a frequent repair on high-mileage 6.4L trucks, especially ones that see a lot of towing heat.

Like other exhaust sensors, the factory sensor is exposed to extreme heat cycles and can seize in the up-pipe. Use penetrating oil, let it soak, and work it out carefully to avoid damaging the threads. Confirm which sensor is at fault before ordering, since the 6.4L uses a different sensor for the DOC and DPF positions.

With a 2 Year / Unlimited Mileage warranty, it is a direct-fit fix for one of the most common 6.4L sensor failures.
