This Revolution Gear & Axle ring and pinion set fits the Toyota 8.4-inch rear axle. Fitment includes 1995–2015 Tacoma, 2000–06 Tundra and 2000–07 Sequoia, in a 4.88 ratio.

The set is standard rotation with a 27-spline pinion on the 8.4-inch ring gear and 12 x 11MM ring gear bolts, with no carrier break across the offered ratio range. Gears are cut from 8620 steel and heat treated to OE-level specifications for strength and quiet running.

A 4.88 ratio is a popular choice for Tacoma, Tundra and Sequoia owners on larger tires who want their acceleration and tow torque back without the engine straining at highway speed.

This is a gear set only. Bearings, an install kit and any locker are not included and are sold separately; add a Revolution Toyota 8.4 master install kit for the bearings, crush sleeve, shims, seal and hardware. Confirm you have the standard-rotation 8.4 rear before ordering.
