This is the Revolution Gear & Axle Discovery Series 4340 chromoly front axle kit for the 2007–18 Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon with the Dana 44 front axle and 30-spline shafts. It replaces the factory front axle shafts – a common breakage point on hard-wheeled Rubicons – while keeping the factory front locker.

The kit includes 2 inner 4340 chromoly axles, 2 outer chromoly stub axles, 2 Dana Spicer 5-7166X U-joints, and 8 full-circle snap rings. The 4340 nickel-chromoly construction is a substantial strength upgrade over OE, and using genuine Spicer joints keeps the front end reliable under load.

These are aimed at Rubicon owners who run their Jeep hard up front – bigger tires, a front locker, and steady rock work – and are tired of breaking stock front shafts or U-joints. Because the shafts are cut for the factory 30-spline carrier, you keep the OE front locker and only replace the weak parts.

This kit fits the factory locker ONLY and is not compatible with aftermarket carriers that change the spline count. It is an axle shaft kit, so it does not include ring and pinion gears or a carrier, and axle seals are not included.

Discovery Series axles carry a 10-year warranty against manufacturing defects and breakage, including bent shafts and twisted splines; the included U-joints are covered for manufacturing defects for 1 year. It is one of the more reassuring front shaft upgrades for a hard-used JK Rubicon.
