Bosch Injector Connector Tube for Dodge/Ram (2007.5-22) 6.7L Cummins

F00RC00647
Genuine Bosch Stainless Steel High Pressure Injector Connector Tube

The connector tube transfers fuel from the injection line at the outside of the cylinder head to the fuel injector which is located in the center of the cylinder head. The connector tube fits into a tapered opening in the injector and forms a metal-to-metal seal. Leakage here is a common problem which causes hard start and no-start symptoms. Torque on the connector tube nut is VERY critical and must be 37 ft-lbs. It is highly recommended to replace the connector tube at the time of injector replacement. If an old connector tube is re-used, a repeat leakage failure can occur, damaging the body of the new injector (which is not a warrantiable failure). New connector tubes are relatively inexpensive insurance!

Description

It is highly recommended to replace connector tubes when installing new injectors. High pressure fuel wears down the connector tube at the same time as the injector so if your injectors are beginning to function poorly, it's likely the tubes are in poor condition as well.

Genuine Bosch connector tubes are made from the highest quality materials, machined to precise tolerances. While cheaper connector tubes are available, they are made from softer grade material that can corrode and wear much faster. That material being forced through greatly reduces the life expectancy of the injector body and nozzle. We understand the want to be frugal but very much recommend the added insurance of using OEM when it comes down to replacing a full set of injectors.
