I have an '04 F350 6.0 with a straight pipe turbo back and was having some problems that I hoped was not the turbo...however, after lots of online searching and reading I came to the realization that I would need a new turbo...some of the issues - turbo farting all the time, high boost yet no power low RPMs, then high RPMs and no power, etc...etc..so I started looking for the best priced Garrett and google led me to KT (and they do have the best price!). I called them up described my issues and Kenny gave me a list of things to check out before getting a new turbo (on a saturday even!) I dreaded doing this myself (never done this before)but once again I searched and vistited alot of forums and how-to's and figured it can't be that hard...ordered on Monday and got it Friday (I am in New Mexico) and pulled my old turbo our no problems Friday afternoon...did not even remove the alternator..it just kinda rolled on out with a little help....the Garrett Powermax looked sweet and getting it lined up with the oil tube on the bottom was a bit of a pain (make sure both ends are seated!!) Took alot of patience and gentle prodding and a good list of cuss words but it all went back together smooth...had to realign the y-pipe after starting as I did not get it aligned the first time...but no biggie.
So....WOW!!!! What a huge difference this made!! The whistle (and I had one before this) was even better, louder and has some nice pitches! The power was right there and I did not really notice any real lag com[pared to stock...but this will be fixed when I hook up a tuner from KT soon...This turbo upgrade was fantastic! It's like a having a new truck again with all the perfrmance back! THANKS KT!!

after a lot a searching and calls the stage 1 power max was the turbo of choice great power even with stock tune and was only a few hundred more than the stock reman turbo.

Dealing with KT Performance was so easy, the shipping was fast (5 days to the CAN-US border in Washington)and at the lowest price ($1700 +taxes for a stock turbo from FORD in Canada). The install was straight forward, did not remove alternator or oil filter. Compared to stock turbo, this turbo has the same lag, similar power, similar EGT's but with a way louder whistle (only during moderate acceleration otherwise very throaty with no cat and oversized exhaust). For other Canadian consumers... I had the turbo shipped to Blaine and was not charged duty, just GST and PST.

When it came time for a new turbo, I new I wanted a Powermax from its great reviews as a good quality OE alternative. I spent considerable time hunting around and found that KT Performance not only offered the BEST price I could find, but also accidentally found the best service. These folks are great. There was a mix up on year (my fault) and they were great about fixing the problem.

I was on a very short deadline while having my 2004 Ford Excursion bulletized. We needed the truck returned early the following week for an out of town trip. The mechanic suggested getting a new turbo over a rebuilt one from Ford. With only two days to spare I performed some quick research and determined a PowerMax GT3788VA turbo was a good choice for my truck. Price shopping showed KT Performance had the lowest price. I contacted them by phone to ensure it was in stock. Then placed the order over their website requesting 2 day air delivery. Price plus air delivery was about $500 less than Ford re-manufactured part. Made a follow-up call with their sales department who promised to get it out the door same day even though my call was late in the day and on very short notice. Long story short the turbo was delivered on time and well packed. They exceeded all of my expectations. Now if the turbo performs as advertised I'll be one happy camper.
