Description

The XDP Exhaust Backpressure (EBP) Sensor is an OE-style replacement for the failed EBP sensor on 2007.5-2018 Dodge/Ram 2500 and 3500, and 2008-2018 Ram 4500 and 5500 with the 6.7L Cummins.

On 2007.5-2012 trucks, a hard line called the EBP tube runs from the exhaust manifold to a sensor mounting block next to the thermostat housing on the front top of the engine, passenger side, and the sensor threads into that block. On 2013-2018 trucks, the sensor sits front passenger side at the top/middle of the engine and still takes its signal through an EBP tube from the manifold. It replaces OE numbers 4921746 and 904-5052, among others.

A failed or soot-clogged EBP sensor on the 6.7L can set pressure codes and affect how the truck runs and manages emissions. This is a common replacement on high-mileage tow rigs and work trucks.

Before installing the new sensor, inspect and clean the EBP tube and the sensor mounting cavity, and replace the tube if it is plugged or damaged. Soot buildup in the line is a common reason a new sensor still reads wrong. Clear codes after the repair and verify readings with a scan tool if you have one.

With a direct-fit design and a 2 Year / Unlimited Mileage warranty, it is a dependable replacement for the factory part.
