PPE Side-Post Battery Heat Shield - Gold (Universal)

The PPE side-post battery heat shield is a universal-fit gold shield that wraps around a side-terminal battery to protect it from the high temperatures of a working engine bay. It is a simple add-on that helps keep heat off the battery case and terminals.

The reflective gold finish is designed to bounce radiant heat away from the battery, reducing the heat soak that shortens battery life. It installs over the battery without permanent modification, making it an easy job.

It suits truck owners – especially diesel owners with batteries mounted close to hot components – who want to squeeze more service life out of their batteries. It is most relevant for vehicles that run side-post batteries.

Because it is a universal part, confirm your battery uses side-post terminals and that the shield clears your battery tray before ordering. It is a protective accessory, not a battery or a charging component.

For anyone fighting short battery life from underhood heat, this is an inexpensive layer of protection, backed by PPE’s 1-year limited warranty.
