Description
This is the Revolution Gear & Axle complete gear package for the 2007–18 Jeep Wrangler JK non-Rubicon with the rear Dana 44 and front Dana 30 axles, in a matched 4.88 ratio. It bundles everything needed to regear both ends of the Jeep in one box.
The package includes front and rear ring and pinion gear sets plus matching front and rear master install bearing kits built around Timken bearings. The rear Dana 44 uses a 24-spline pinion and the front Dana 30 uses a 26-spline pinion, and both ends are set to the same 4.88 ratio.
A 4.88 is the go-to regear for non-Rubicon JK owners running around 35-inch tires, restoring the acceleration, throttle response, and towing manners that bigger tires take away. Buying it as a matched package removes the guesswork of pairing gears and bearings yourself.
Note the carrier break: a new front carrier is only required when stepping up from the factory 3.21 ratio (the carrier break sits at 3.55/3.73). The package does not include axle shafts or any locker or limited-slip – it is a gear and install kit package only.
