Revolution Gear & Axle Ring & Pinion Set for Jeep (2007-18) Wrangler JK, Dana 44 Rear Axle (4.56 Ratio)

This is a rear ring and pinion gear set from Revolution Gear & Axle built for the Dana 44 rear axle in all 2007–18 Jeep Wrangler JK models. It is a standard-rotation set in a 4.56 ratio for owners who have added larger tires and want their gearing back.

The set runs a 24-spline pinion on the 8.5-inch Dana 44 ring gear, with 10 x 7/16" and 1/2" ring gear bolt threads and a 10-bolt cover. Gears are cut from 8620 steel and heat treated to OE-level specifications for strength and quiet operation. At 4.56 the set installs on the 3.73-and-down carrier, so verify your carrier break before buying.

A 4.56 ratio is a common re-gear for JK Wranglers running mid-size larger tires, improving acceleration, trail crawling and tow performance without straining the engine on the highway.

This is a ring and pinion gear set only. Bearings, an install kit, the carrier and any locker are not included and are sold separately. Plan to add a Revolution master install kit (such as 35-2052 for Rubicon or 35-2053 for non-Rubicon) for the Timken bearings, crush sleeve, shims, seals and ring gear bolts.
