This is the Revolution Gear & Axle Discovery Series 4340 chromoly rear axle kit for the 2007–18 Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon with the Dana 44 rear axle and 32-spline shafts. It replaces the factory rear axle shafts – the part most likely to break once you start adding tire size and traction – while keeping the rest of your housing and the factory locker in place.

The shafts are forged from 4340 nickel-chromoly steel, a major step up in strength over OE. Each kit ships with bearings, seals, and retainers already pressed on and ready to bolt in, and includes a set of 10 wheel studs (shipped loose for safer transport). Rear flanges are drilled for both 5x5 and 5x5.5 bolt patterns to match the factory wheel fitment.

These are aimed at Rubicon owners who run their Jeep hard – rock crawling, bigger tires, lockers front and rear – and want to stop snapping stock rear shafts. Because they are cut for the factory 32-spline locker, you keep your OE electronic locker and only swap the weak component.

Note that this kit fits the factory locker ONLY; it is not compatible with aftermarket carriers that change the spline count. It is an axle shaft kit, so it does not include ring and pinion gears or a carrier. Wheel studs are included but not installed – set them with red Loctite and torque to 90 ft-lbs per the included instructions.

Discovery Series axles carry a 10-year warranty against manufacturing defects and axle breakage, including bent shafts and twisted splines, which makes this one of the more reassuring rear shaft upgrades for a hard-used JK Rubicon.
