Description
This is a PPE exhaust bellows measuring 4.0" in diameter and 2.75" long. A bellows is a flexible section that gets built into an exhaust run to absorb movement and thermal expansion.
Engines move on their mounts and exhaust grows as it heats up. Without a flex section, that motion transfers straight into rigid joints and cracks them. The bellows flexes to take up that movement and isolates vibration from the rest of the system.
It’s a common piece in custom exhaust and downpipe fabrication on 4.0" plumbing, particularly where the exhaust connects a moving engine to a fixed section. Position it where flex is needed most.
It welds or clamps into the exhaust line depending on your setup. Locate it so it can flex freely without contacting the chassis or body. Backed by a PPE 1-Year Limited Warranty.
