This Revolution Gear & Axle ring and pinion set is built for the front Dana 30 in 2007-18 Jeep Wrangler JK and 2018-26 Jeep Wrangler JL non-Rubicon models, cut in a 4.88 ratio with reverse rotation to match the front housing.

The gears use a 26-spline pinion, a 7.2" ring gear, and heat-treated 8620 steel. The carrier break is 3.55/3.73, so this 4.88 set is designed to work with the deeper-ratio carrier. To keep the axles turning the same effective ratio, run a matching 4.88 set in the rear.

A 4.88 re-gear is a popular move on JK and JL Wranglers running larger tires. Taller tires raise your effective gearing and dull throttle response and crawl ratio; 4.88s restore that torque at the wheels for both trail performance and daily drivability.
