The closed link features a Delrin rash guard to protect the link when the line is slack, or cinched tightly against the fairlead, reducing wear. A stainless steel heavy-duty pin provides reliable retention, while the fairlead base plate incorporates alignment nodules that keep the link properly positioned and centered when not in use.
