Description
The BTR EFI Live DSP5 Selector Switch is engineered for Duramax enthusiasts running custom Duramaxtuner or Motor Ops programming on their 2013–2016 Chevy and GMC 6.6L Duramax LML engines. This OE-style SOTF (Shift On The Fly) switch provides instant access to up to five custom tunes—in real time, without the need to stop or reflash your ECM.
This kit is built for reliability and ease of installation, with fully loomed blue and white wires, mounting hardware, and a rugged rotary dial. Designed by American automotive experts, it delivers trouble-free signal integrity and consistent operation for those using Duramaxtuner-supported DSP5 or Motor Ops DSP5 tuning (see application notes below).
Important Compatibility Note:
- This switch uses blue/white wires for 2013–2016 trucks supported by Duramaxtuner and 2015–2016 Motor Ops tunes. Earlier model years or other tuning providers typically require a yellow/black wire switch variation.
- Different tuners and years often use different resistance values and wire colors. This switch may not work with other brands or other model years. Double check tuner compatibility before purchasing.
Installation Help
Wiring for LML (2013–2016):
- Blue/White Wires: Connect per Duramaxtuner or Motor Ops installation instructions for SOTF DSP5 switching.
Detailed installation instructions included. Product is only compatible with ECMs loaded with DSP5-capable software from Duramaxtuner or Motor Ops (for the years listed above).
DSP5 Switch Washer Alignment Tip
Your DSP5 switch includes a nut and two washers. The bottom smooth washer must always remain at the bottom, with its tab located in hole number five. If the washer falls out during installation, turn the switch fully counterclockwise and seat the washer so its pin is in hole five. Verify the switch moves exactly four clicks clockwise; if not, repeat the process until the adjustment is correct. This ensures your switch accurately tracks all five positions every time.
Note: Professional installation recommended. Always confirm compatibility with your tuning software, wire color, and vehicle’s VIN before purchase.
